Speaker:
Justin Shepherd
"I have been a police officer with the Overland Park Police Department since 2007. I became the dedicated CIT officer in 2018, where I first started working directly with the Co-Responder. Since then the Overland Park Crisis Action Team (OPCAT) has grown to five dedicated CIT specialists, and six Co-Responders. My duties include responding to calls for service with a mental health component along with a Co-Responder and providing the Co-Responder on scene support and safety. I am also the chair of the Kansas Law Enforcement CIT Council and teach during the 40-hour Basic CIT training week."
